Lauren Bain

My Master of Science in Data Science degree focused on knowledge and skills in interdisciplinary and collaborative data science competencies including statistical analysis, data structures and algorithms, data mining, machine learning, big data architecture, and data visualization. It is an interdisciplinary degree program offered through CU Boulder’s departments of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Science.

The Business Analytics and Technology degree trains professionals to make sense of data sets, perform financial and business analyses, present information using leading technologies, and recommend leading edge process improvements that allow companies to operate more efficiently and maximize performance.

Completed projects for the production engineering team analyzing real time data and creating visualizations using analytics tools and data warehouse. Projects included using real time field data to identify and quantify missing product, comply with lease terms, and summarize production. Included data quality control management and data warehouse upkeep.

Staying grounded with social and communications skills while financing my graduate education.
